An autumn technique tradition

Another September sassy stamping class project, this card features Versamark Resist, a technique I use every autumn (coincidentally I always use the Kaleidacolor pad “Autumn Leaves”). I love the juxtaposition of the oranges and browns against the greens and especially the blue.
So…where do YOU go for color inspiration? I was just daydreaming about what autumn means to me (bright leaves, blue sky…hey!…blue sky…BLUE!) and I found a new color for my traditional autumn card. But then I had to figure out “how” to use blue, so it was off to my paper samplers to find something that would have blue and still go with my autumny oranges, browns, and green. The striped paper from the TAC Mia’s Cottage collection is the perfect accent.
And check out the tree on the envelope! My first cards and envies had the tree inked with the different colors going horizontally across the trunk, but then serendipitiously I dropped my stamp onto the K-pad with the trunk on the center inkpad…which is BROWN…and ta-da…I now have a brown trunk with colored leaves!!! (Don’t you just love happy accidents?)
