Another leftover class kit (I am definitely focused on reducing those UFO piles on my shelves lol) and I used the same stamp set as yesterday’s nail polish card – it was still out on my table. The black and white patterned paper was a free download from the now defunct TAC. I like the shabby patterns and I think it softens the stark black and white aspect. The flowers were colored using SU markers (pink pirouette, regal rose, real red) as was the flower pot (certainly celery, river rock, and a touch of so saffron). I grounded the pot with a little gray chalk pencil blended out. I am filling my June Operation Write Home (OWH) box and saw that Sandy, my shipper, is needing thank you cards, so that is the sentiment I chose. I made 5 cards using this design.
I remembered to take a photo of the inside of the card this time. Remember that the OWH cards need to be lined on the inside because sometimes all our heroes have to write with is a pencil. The floral image was stamped off 4 times before stamping on the white panel.
Oh, and the blog post title was inspired because of the opposites color scheme of black and white and red and green. What can I say, sometimes it’s a struggle to come up with a title.
