Sending you a latte love {thanks} - part 4

http://sassyrubberartists.com

Today’s card uses another of my printed Whole Latte Love digis from Deedee’s Digis. I wanted to enter a ‘thanks’ card in the current Outlawz Copic/Promarker challenge. This design qualifies as CAS (clean and simple) so I am able to also enter it in the current Addicted to Stamps and More! challenge. Chartreuse is one of my favorite colors and the retired SU Kiwi Kiss totally matched the chartreuse in the TAC patterned paper. All the inlaid hearts come from the same patterned sheet, just different areas. I placed my latte cup on a punched ’saucer’ embellished with a bit of that same patterned sheet. Did you notice that I trimmed away the cinnamon stick on this digi? I wanted to keep the design light and the cinnamon stick would have added a darkness to the overall ambience. I made one of these cards as a ‘thanks’ (using a sentiment I generated in my word processing program with the Amazing Ruler font) and two others (not photographed) with the original ’sending you a whole latte love’ sentiment that comes with this digi. The three will go into my November Operation Write Home box. So now, out of my original 12 printed digis, I’ve made 10 and only have 2 more to share with you.

The technique used for the background is called Inlaid Embossing in which embellishments are temporarily adhered to cardstock and then the embellished cardstock is dry embossed (using a detailed emboss design; the tighter the emboss design, the deeper the embedding of the embellishments) to inlay the embellishments into the overall design.

This card qualifies for several challenges:
