Sending you a latte love - part 3

http://sassyrubberartists.com

A classic color combo for a love/valentine card to pop into November’s Operation Write Home box. (Sometimes if I look sideways at this card, I see Santa lurking around the corner…must be the color scheme and then the scalloped circles could be Santa’s curly beard. Yep, I definitely need caffeine LOL.)

This lovely latte cup from Deedee’s Digis was paper pieced. My cup at work looks like this (a little taller though). A pretty red and white polka dot outside and a solid white inside. Since the entire image was paper pieced, the only Copics I used were for shading. Did you know you can use your Copics on patterned paper? I used C3, C1, and C0 to help define the cup’s curves and a little R000 and C0 for the heart. The background on the main image and sentiment piece was sponged with Memento Angel Pink while still in the die. I made two cards with this design (seven down, five still to come).

This card qualifies for:

Addicted to Stamps and More…Addicted to {Red and White}

Stamps: Deedee’s Digis Whole Latte Love
Paper: Cougar White 80 lb; SU Real Red, Basic Black, Brights Patterned Paper; TAC Brown
Ink: Memento Angel Pink
Copics: Cup shading (C3, C1, C0); Whipped Cream (C0, 0); Cinnamon Stick shading (C1, C0); Heart (R000, C0)
Accessories: Big Shot, Spellbinders Scalloped Circles and Circles Large, EK Success Scalloped Border Punch, Cuttlebug Heart Blocks embossing folder, Crystal Lacquer (on the heart)
