…this ain’t (lol). I participate in a monthly by-invitation-only swap and the November theme was snowmen or snowflakes, and I chose a whimsical TAC set called Snowmen Nativity. I knew that I somehow wanted the star to show above all panels and so I used an angled trifold card design.
This is the closed card.

This is the opened card (sorry for the small image, so click on the photo to get a larger view).

Stamps: TAC Snowmen Nativity; Paper: TAC navy; Inks: Versamark; Brilliance Galaxy Gold and White Cloud; Accessories: ScorPal; X-Static (anti-static bag); White Detail Embossing Powder, Sparkle Embossing Powder; Square Brad; Sponge; Brief Instructions: Use the ScorPal triangle markings to score a trifold card along the long edge of an 8.5×11 sheet of cardstock. Keep the cardstock with the long edge along the bottom and on the left side measure up 5 inches and on the right side measure up 3.5 inches; use your cutter to make a diagonal cut (and bonus!!! you get two cards out of one sheet of cardstock–just like when cutting for an A2 sized card. My card measures 3.75×5.5 when folded, so it will fit into a normal A2 envelope.)
I hope you try your hand at this different fold.
(and here’s a last thought, almost always a sponged edge gives a warmer, cozier “feel” to a card than the plain cardstock edge…here’s what not sponging white around the edges of my card looks like…which do you prefer?)

That card is just adorable. I love the way you did the star up in the corner so it would always be seen. It’s beautiful ! –and so creative with the tri fold design.
Forgot to give my opinion on the sponged edges !
I love the sponged edges. It really makes it warm and cozy. The plain edges look sharp and cold compared to the other. I would have liked the plain card if I saw just that, but when you see the comparison, it makes a big difference.
I like the sponged edges better! I haven’t made one of these angled tri-folds for a long time - thank for the reminder of them! I’ll add it to my “to do” list, LOL! Yours is awesome. The embossing makes this stamp set look so elegant!
Oh KellyRae, I should have seen your card before I made mine. I like htis so much better than mine and mine took forever with painting etc. Great card - as usual - and I love the sponging. Thanks for sharing this creation.
This is so cool. Great template for telling the story!!
What a great card! I love this set!The sponging gives a beautiful “snow in the night” effect!
I NEED to own this stamp set! It is so adorable. Diane Loy made me a card with it and I fell in love!
Love this card! The white edges are great!
What a fantastic card. I love how it tells the Christmas story
This card is absolutely beautiful. I want to try this soon. Like Trudy said, it tells the Christmas Story.
I love this fold and how you can see the words on each layer! I am definitely going to have to try one of these.
I love how you folded the card so you can see the scene! Well done!
